Learning Disability Development Fund (LDDF)

Learning Disability Development Fund (LDDF)
The Learning Disability Development Fund (LDDF) is money used to help make Valuing People happen.
From 2008 the Learning Disability Development Fund has been given to Local Authorities because they do a lot of the work to make Valuing People happen.
Some of the money given to Local Authorities will be used to work on:
  • Personalisation
  • Supporting people into paid work
  • Supporting people to live in their own home
  • Reducing health inequalities
These are the big Valuing People Priorities. This work will be done with the Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board. It means that the Partnership Board and Local Implementation Groups will be involved in decisions about local services and how the money will be used.
To make sure that this happens – the Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board membership needs to include senior staff from social services and health.
It is important that Partnership Boards think about all the money that is available to support People with Learning Disabilities and not just the LDDF.
