Ordinary People Leading Ordinary Lives
'Ordinary People Leading Ordinary Lives’ is the title of a new plan to improve life for adults with a learning disability in Hampshire. It was put together by the Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board, which has listened to and talked with service users, carers, voluntary sector and public sector organisations as part of a 13 week consultation period involving over 550 people.
The Partnership Board has the job to improve services and provide support for people in the county with a learning disability and their family and carers. This plan answers the questions raised in Valuing People Now and looks at what this means for people who live and work in Hampshire.
In 2008 the Board asked people to comment on the draft strategy (Plan). The final version has been agreed by the Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board and is being printed right now.
