2009-2010 LDDF Funded Projects
Self Advocacy Groups in Bordon, Petersfield and Alton £6500 each
This project provides weekly meetings for local self advocacy groups to talk about issues that affect them. East Hampshire advocacy also support group members to attend other meetings and events
Drop in Café £7765
The project supports the needs of people with a learning disability who do and do not receive adult services. A user led committee has been established to look at the running of and the sustainability of the Café project.
Staunton Supported Volunteering Scheme £7500
This is to fund a support worker to co-ordinate the supported volunteer scheme at Staunton Country Park. They will support recruitment, training, events and sustain the project through a social enterprise model.
Kingsley Supported volunteering scheme £7000
This money is to increase opportunities for people accessing the project and to support those who are not eligible for statutory funding. Volunteers can work in the Kingsley’s shop and post office.
