What are Changing Places Toilets?
Changing Places toilets are different to standard disabled toilets with extra features and more space to support people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as other serious impairments such as spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis or an acquired brain injury.
These individuals often need extra facilities to allow them to use the toilets comfortably and with greater independence and dignity.
You can visit the national campaign website to see where Changing Places are located around the country or simply to find out more.
If you want to know why Changing Places are needed, how they can benefit local communities and businesses then please read the attached document produced by Hampshire Adult Services.
