Education

Education
Education plays a big part in all our lives. It not only helps us to get the qualifications we need but also helps us to learn about the world around us and supports us with relationships, good health, social interests and forming ideas for what we want to do as adults.
The Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board knows that to support people to lead an ordinary life this has to begin when we are children and young adults.
The Partnership Board is working closely with people and organisations from childrens services to make sure that the education you receive at School and College helps to get you ready for life as an adult.
We are working with Hampshire Schools and Colleges to make sure that the courses you choose can help support you to:
-
Get real work and a paid job
-
Live on your own or with friends if you want to
-
Understand your rights as citizens
-
Be an active member of your community or the place where you live
-
Take part in leisure activities
-
Travel on your own or with support
-
To make sure you have a real choice about what happens in your life
