Safeguarding

Safeguarding
Everyone has the right to be safe from people hurting them or doing bad things to them.
When someone does bad things to someone else that can make them feel frightened or unhappy then this is called abuse.
Abuse is wrong. Tell someone if you are being abused. They will help to stop it.
There are 6 main different kinds of abuse;
  • Verbal abuse
  • Physical abuse
  • Discriminatory abuse
  • Neglect
  • Sexual abuse
  • Financial abuse
The Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board takes the responsibility to safeguard adults with a Learning Disability from abuse very seriously.
