What does Valuing People Now say;
People with learning disabilities want to lead ordinary lives and do the things that most people take for granted.
They want to study at college, get a job, have relationships and friendships, and enjoy leisure and social activities. Many people need support to do these things; and some will need high levels of support on an ongoing basis to have any kind of meaningful life.
The Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board is committed to making sure that people have the support and opportunity to lead an ordinary life. This includes working with people during the evenings and weekends.
Jobs Action Network
Jobs Action Network campaigning group is made up of people with learning difficulties. This is to campaign about jobs and check that the aims of Valuing Employment Now are happening in the South East.
